Third Ongoing Project in London
In the heart of West End, north of Oxford street in London, Octatube will be constructing a facade of exceptional quality. A modern office building named Tasman House will spring on 59-65 Wells Street with a spacious reception and a retail section on ground floor level.
Commissioned by Wates Construction, Octatube has embarked on the engineering of the unique facade in which glass panels are framed by bronze anodised aluminium, and alternated with blinds, rainscreens and bespoke GRC (Glass fiber Reinforced Concrete) panels. The project is also featured with 13 bespoke glass and aluminium doors, and a 4.3 meters tall glass tourniquet. The architectural design is by Buckley Gray Yeoman.

The glass facade structure is composed of sharp edged T-profiles, and will partly be fire resistant (EI60). Additionally, Octatube will perform several (structural) tests.

Construction will set off in October and is estimated to be finalised before the summer of 2017. The front facade will be 38 meters wide and 26 meters high.
