Installation largest glass fins in the Netherlands for Van Gogh Museum

oday the construction of the Van Gogh's Museum's new Entrance Building has reached a sensational milestone: the installation of the longest glass beams in the Netherlands. These glass fins are part of the middle section of the new glass roof. The largest glass beam has a length of 12 meters and a height of 70 centimeters. The glass fins are composed of extra strong toughened and laminated glass. It was chosen to select a discolorized type of glass that is super transparent.

The structural glass components span the full width of the new Entrance Building, that is composed of a unique glass structure. Octatube is responsible for the technical design, engineering, production and installation of the entire facade structure.
