Octatube is back in Germany

Octatube is proud to announce its comeback in Germany. In the 1990s, dozens of projects have been realised on German soil. Currently two large new projects are in the engineering phase. The projects, in Neckarsulm and Munich, will be introduced later. In this article we would like to present Octatube’s representative for the German market: Hartmut Drebing.

Where do you come from and what is your working experience before you joined Octatube?
I come from the northern part of Germany and I have been working in the building industry for 28 years before I became a representative of Octatube. The focus I have, has always been the cladding of buildings; roofs and facades in particular. My expertise lies in transparent and translucent building skins and therein I always like to think beyond. This is also a direct link to the mentality of Octatube. My slogan is ‘agent for smart technologies’.

How would you characterize Octatube compared to other companies?
Octatube is a very open and transparent organisation. I can walk to the factory as easy as I can walk to the directors. There is a huge team spirit within the company. I like the direct and practical way in which communication takes place. The people at Octatube have a very creative and flexible mind. They are experts in developing concepts and innovations. It occurs to me that the big amount of technical knowledge is not only based on the history of the company, but also conserved by the connection with the Technical University of Delft. Altogether I can say that Octatube has a very unique and multidisciplinary project approach, and you see it’s difficult for me to hide my enthusiasm.

What is the added value of Octatube in the German market?
Actually the reason I work for Octatube is the same reason why clients will benefit from a collaboration with Octatube. You know, Germany is a very high-end market so we are encountering a lot of challenging projects where bespoke systems and solutions are indispensible. In a way we are exporting Octatube’s expertise and bringing a lot of ideas to the table. We look for projects in which a certain amount of that expertise is necessary to improve the building. In these projects, Octatube is a unique team member for both architects and clients.
