The Educational Centre EMC Rotterdam is nearing its completion (September 2012). One of the eye catchers of the building are 2 glass zig zag facades. The largest one has a free vertical span of 11 meters withouth mullions and a length of 60 meters.
Today the installation of the second skin of the Fletcher Hotel at the A2 highway in Amsterdam has started off. The glass of the second skin has - just like the first GRP skin - a pattern of blue dots.
Coming week the installation of the Geert Groote Huis in Deventer (Netherlands) starts off. A steel and glass structure will be contructed on top of a medieval foundation.
The Gerardus Majellakerk, a monumental church in Amsterdam, has been refurbished to meet the requirements of a specific new user. In a team of the municipality’s urban regeneration department, construction firm de Nijs and the architectural offices J. van Stigt and Zaanen Spanjers, Octatube was responsible for a 256 square meters acoustic curtain wall.
