Octatube @ Glasstec

Octatube will display a mock-up at the Glasstec trade fair in Düsseldorf (20-23 September). Glasstec is the world's leading trade fair for the glass industry, with trade visitors from over 87 countries.

Octatube has been asked by the university of Stuttgart to take part in Glass Technology Live: an exhibition that focuses on innovative glass techniques in the building envelope. Octatube specially designed a cold-bent glass panel mock-up to demonstrate the possibilities of cold bent glazing. The design was inspired by the Van Gogh Museum's Glass Entrance project in which double glass units were cold bent with a bending radius up till 11.5 meters.

This week the mock-up has been completed in Octatube’s workshop, and it will soon be transported to Germany. The structure will be on display at stand 42 in hall 11 where Glass Technology Live is taking place.
