Yearly Wates Group in London organize the Supply Chain Awards. This event recognises the valued support by supply chain partners.
Octatube is a specialized sub-contractor of several projects in London including the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A), the London Business School and Tasman House. Based on these projects we were elected as winner of the ‘Supply chain partner of the year’ award!
Citation by Wates on the ‘Supply chain partner of the year’ award:
Octatube have worked on three very challenging projects with Wates over the past year delivering glass facades on the V&A, London Business School and Tasman House. Octatube worked with our design teams to ensure that the façade will work technically and perform architecturally. The quality of installation and support of the teams in the Netherlands have been second to none which has been recognised by our clients. Octatube have turned exceptional pre-construction support in 2016 into first class delivery in 2017.
We were also highly commended in the categories ‘Safety’ and ‘Innovation’.
Citation on ‘Safety’:
During their works at the London Business School Octatube have had having a consistently high level of health and safety compliance on site, they installed many large units of glass and pre-finished steel beams within very tight confines of a listed building always with safety at the forefront. Their Project Manager Corine Dikkers led the way with managing safety for the project.
Citation on ‘Innovation’:
Octatube have installed a complex façade on Tasman House with many material interfaces, to overcome challenges with non-standard fixing details perpsex scale models were made and brought to site to brief the installation teams prior to installation.
