Visit by Rijnboutt

Wednesday the 25th of April the technical design and junior design team of Rijnboutt visited Octatube. The visit, as part of the Rijnboutt Academy, focused on developing the technical insight of the Rijnboutt team.

Rijnboutt and Octatube have a similar vision of what it means to work in partnership. The main pillars are delivering on commitments and demonstrating open communication. We have already successfully worked together on numerous occasions, including Rokin 49 in Amsterdam and the Passage in Tilburg. For example, the close collaboration between the design team of Rijnboutt and the technical engineers of Octatube made it possible to create a very slim, flowing roof for the Passage.

In order to further develop the relationship and insight into each other's way of thinking, Jordy van der Veen and Niek Koning van Rijnboutt and Iris Rombouts and Koos Fritzsche van Octatube gave presentations. This explained each other's vision on the partnership and emphasised the associated interests and benefits. The enthiusiasm was noticeable during the open and curious discussions during the presentations and the tour of Octatube's workshop with the mock-ups.

The pleasant morning once again emphasized the advantages and importance of a good partnership between designer and technical project developer. With enthusiasm we look forward to the next challenge and the pleasant working relationship with Rijnboutt!
