Octatube again certified for the Safety Culture Ladder Step 3

Octatube’s safety culture was recently audited and we are happy to share that we are once again certified for the Safety Culture Ladder Step 3. The auditors noted that with our proactive safety behaviour we are moving closer to achieve Step 4. Our aim is to continue climbing this important Ladder.

Although our policies and paperwork are regularly reviewed, this audit prioritises personal interviews with Octans to evaluate their safety awareness, attitude and behaviour. The SCL ladder has five steps, with higher levels of safety awareness corresponding to higher steps.

The certification process helps our company to evolve and increase our understanding of Health & Safety policies, particularly regarding culture and awareness. We've established a comprehensive Health & Safety system where all our certifications (VCA**, ISO 45001, and SCL) complement one another.

Part of the scope of the Safety Culture Ladder and therefor of our Health & Safety system is that our subcontractors on foreign construction sites also have to aspire to and demonstrate at least the same safety culture and corresponding behaviour. We're eager to collaborate to enhance safety at construction sites and minimize unsafe situations to decrease the frequency of incidents.
