Octatube district winner Metaalunie Smart Manufacturing Award
Metaalunie has announced the district winners of the Metaalunie Smart Manufacturing Award 2021. The jury, led by Jacco Vonhof, chairman MKB-Nederland and entrepreneur, has chosen eight district winners from all entries. Octatube has been chosen as the winner of the Zuid-Holland district and will therefore go through to the national finals.
The Smart Manufacturing Award of the Metaalunie 2021 goes to the SME-metal company that responds decisively to all new developments that are coming up for the SME-manufacturing industry. Keywords: fast and reliable delivery, customisation, flexibility and innovative strength.
As a Design & Build company Octatube consciously seeks the interplay between designing and creating challenging architecture. Iconic constructions that require custom solutions in which creativity, technical ingenuity and daring come together. At an early stage, we bring practical and theoretical disciplines together to look for cleverness in all areas: from engineering to assembly and mounting. That is where Octatube's added value lies. It allows us to constantly innovate.
"The winners are all good examples of SME metal companies that understand that the strength of our manufacturing industry lies in 'inventing' combined with 'making', now and in the future. That is important for a good profitable company. With these excellent district winners, it will be exciting during the national finals to see who will win the Award," the jury said.
Every year, Koninklijke Metaalunie awards a prize to a Metaalunie member that has distinguished itself in a positive way. This can be done, for example, by making optimum use of modern production techniques, excellent processes, well-chosen materials, well thought-out systems, digitalisation and a self-managing and self-learning organisation.
