Taxi Pillars for Dutch Railways

For the second time Octatube has been involved in a project for the Dutch Railways and Zonetaxi. The project for these two clients is a facility for travelers. The taxi rides according to a special zone system and is widely used among rail passengers.



In 1996 a total of 120 and 6 different types of Taxi Pillars have been produced and installed. Today, after 16 years, about 20 pillars will be converted and another 20 new pillars will be placed. Octatube is responsible for processing and buying the materials. The elements are prefabricated in the factory as much as possible, before they are installed on site.

In 2012 the new Zonetaxi pillars will already be placed or converted on different locations, such as Eindhoven, Amersfoort, Hilversum, Utrecht, Almere and Groningen. After this, the remaining cities will follow.
