The BNA (Branch Association of Dutch Architectural Firms) has hailed Public Transport Terminal Breda as the Best Building of the Year 2017. The jury praises the monumental building for its innovative typology and strong relationship with the city. Octatube congratulates Koen van Velsen with this prestigious distinction.
At the highly prestigious Glass Supper in London last night, Octatube received an international award for façade engineering excellence. The Van Gogh Museum’s Glass Entrance Building gained a special commendation for the Façade Of The Year 2016 Awards in the category New Build.
Octatube has again been nominated for the Dutch Glass Award. Two years ago, the all-glass elevator shaft of the Mauritshuis was one of the nominees. This edition, the Glass Entrance Building of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is one of the contenders.
We are proud to be awarded with two Supply Chain Awards by the Wates Group in London. Octatube has been the winner in the category ´Extraordinary Pre-Construction Support’, and we have been highly commended as ‘Supply Chain Partner of the Year’.
Yesterday evening Octatube has received an award for entrepreneurship and director Nils Eekhout was announced ´local hero´ in the city of Delft. The jury mentioned that 'Octatube's projects in Delft, the Netherlands, and abroad are wonderful creations. It is an inspiring company of which everybody in Delft can be proud'.
